Amidst excitement around Champions Trophy, there's a growing suspense round India captain Rohit Sharma's travel to Pakistan for the captains photoshoot.

Pakistan Cricket Board expects India captain Rohit Sharma to travel to the neighbouring country for the Champions Trophy opening ceremony. The governing body is planning to host a gala event on either February 16 or 17.

The last time the Indian team visited Pakistan was in 2008 for the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka which they lost by 100 runs. The last time the Men in Blue played a match in Pakistan was also in the same tournament during the Super Four Stage, where India suffered a defeat by 8 wickets.

A PCB source has said that it is awaiting communication from the ICC on the schedule of the customary captains' photo-shoot and the pre-event press conference, which is to be held in Pakistan.

Despite India playing all of their matches in Dubai, captain Rohit Sharma might attend the Champions Trophy opening ceremony that the PCB is planning to host in Pakistan, which will require the presence of all eight captains.
