Cucumbers sold in Colorado may be contaminated with salmonella
A voluntary recall was issued on store-made deli and produce items at Safeway stores in Colorado. Safeway’s Denver division said those items contain cucumbers which may be contaminated with salmonella. This follows a recall issued by Baloian Farms, a cucumber grower. The affected products carry sell-by dates from December 1-7.
At least 7 cases reported in Colorado amid Salmonella outbreak
The FDA said as of Nov. 26, 68 people infected with Salmonella have been reported in 19 states, including Colorado, which has between 7 and 9 cases. There have been 18 confirmed hospitalizations nationwide, but no deaths have been reported.
