Richard Moore, the Spartanburg man, on death row for murder, was executed Friday evening. Moore, 59, was convicted in 2001 of murdering James Mahoney, a store clerk, two years earlier. He was put to death by lethal injection after South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster denied a request for clemency.
