The Thanksgiving travel rush is expected to be bigger than ever this year. AAA predicts that nearly 80 million people in the U.S. will venture at least 50 miles (80 kilometers) from home between Tuesday and next Monday.

It was an early morning rush of holiday travelers at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport on Tuesday. A long line of passengers snaked around the main security checkpoint at 5 a.m. as TSA K9 dogs screened bags to expedite the process.

Marty Robinson is the federal security director for Minnesota with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He says Wednesday is expected to be extremely busy between the hours of 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. He added how pre-check can be a big-time saver for flyers.
