Thursday night the Mavericks dropped their fourth game in a row — by a total of eight points — when a defensive miscommunication left Luka Doncic in no-man's land and Utah's Jordan Clarkson whipped a pass right past him to John Collins for a game-winning dunk.

Luka Dončić has never exactly been a candidate for the All-Defensive teams, but his work on defense Thursday represented a low point for one of the best young players in the NBA, despite another brilliant game on offense.

John Collins scored the last of his 28 points on a tiebreaking dunk with 6.4 seconds left to give the Utah Jazz their first home victory of the season, 115-113 over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
