The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday amid opposition protests over the violence in Sambhal and the Adani issue. Opposition members were in the Well of the House raising slogans demanding action against the perpetrators of the violence in Sambhal during a survey being carried out in a mosque.

The adjournment comes second in a row after, on Wednesday, opposition MPs submitted a notice for an adjournment motion in both Houses to address issues concerning Manipur, the Adani indictment

The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha are set for tumultuous sessions again over the Adani and Sambhal violence issues as the Winter Session gets underway today.

Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon on Thursday amid protests by Opposition members over the Adani issue, violence in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal and other issues.

However, as the opposition protests continued TDP member Krishna Prasad Tenneti, who was in the chair, adjourned the proceedings of Lok Sabha for the day. Earlier, the Lok Sabha adopted a resolution granting extension to the Joint Committee on the Waqf Amendment Bill till the last day of the Budget session next year.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned for the day amid opposition protests over issues like Manipur violence and bribery allegations against the Adani Group. Both houses will reconvene at 11 am on November 28.
