Canada is a little closer to knowing who they'll be taking on in the FIFA World Cup next year, after the draw date was announced.

Global footballer's union has accused FIFA of "systematically ignoring and silencing" the concerns of players and "seriously undermining" the game with its "autocratic system of governance."

FIFA has opened volunteer applications for the 2026 World Cup, giving fans a chance to be involved in the first men’s tournament hosted across three countries.

Fan Zones include Live match screenings, food festivals, local art and music showcases, and interactive soccer clinics.

As Michigan State students come back to campus, their first opportunity to check out an MSU sporting event this fall will be Thursday night when the Spartans men’s and women’s soccer teams will play a doubleheader at DeMartin Stadium.
