The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense, under the guidance of Liam Coen and Baker Mayfield, was one of the highest-scoring units in football. Claiming the NFC South and losing on a last-second field goal, the Buccaneers' good work in the second half of the year was close to continuing.

Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield left the field at Raymond James Stadium dejected after Tampa fell to the Commanders 23-20 to end their playoff run as quickly as it started.

Mayfield made a costly mistake in the fourth quarter, botching a handoff that led to a Commanders’ fumble recover at the Tampa 13-yard line. Jayden Daniels found Terry McLaurin for the go-ahead touchdown four plays later, and the Commanders never trailed again.
