During the session, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield said there must be "no forcible displacement, nor policy of starvation in Gaza" by Israel, warning such policies would have implications under U.S. and international law.

Israel’s warfare in Gaza is consistent with the characteristics of genocide, a special UN committee said Thursday, accusing the country of “using starvation as a method of war.”

Abdelatty met with a number of key officials in the country and reiterated his support for Lebanon and a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
