Following his animated debut as Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos, Frank Grillo will portray the character in live-action for Superman, which will open in theaters on July 11, 2025. After that, he’ll return for Peacemaker Season 2, which is expected to debut sometime in August on the 2025 TV schedule.

Months after it was reported that DC was eyeing a Bane and Deathstroke-fronted movie, Gunn confirmed that the classic villain will be a part of his vision for the cinematic universe. Similar is the case with DCU’s Batman, as even though the film was announced a long time ago, Gunn clarified they’ve no intentions of rushing its development without a story worth telling.
