The Inderwal Assembly constituency recorded a turnout of 82.16 percent, the highest in the first phase followed by Padder-Nagseni at 80.67 percent.

The first phase of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir concluded on Wednesday, with a voter turnout of 59.19% recorded till 5:00pm. The Election Commission of India (ECI) data revealed that Kishtwar witnessed the highest participation at 77.

Over 23 lakh voters will decide the fate of 219 candidates, including 90 Independents, who are running for 24 assembly segments -- eight in three districts of Jammu region and 16 in four districts of Kashmir valley.
