Ahead of the fifth day of the Parliament winter session, Congress MP Manickam Tagore filed an adjournment notice in Lok Sabha on Friday to discuss the Gautam Adani indictment in the lower house. Opposition MPs have repeatedly sought to discuss the Adani indictment in the Lok Sabha since the start of the winter session on November 25.

The parliament impasse has finally been broken after six days of wasted sessions, due to adjournments in the face of protests by the Opposition. All Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs have agreed to hold a debate on the Constitution next week.

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha sessions began on Friday amid uproar in the lower house. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 12. The Parliament winter session on Thursday was adjourned after ruckus over discussion on Adani issue.

Since the start of the session, both the houses of the Parliament have seen disruptions leading to adjournment. In the last four consecutive days the proceedings were suspended. Monday marks the first day of the Parliament.
