South Korea is confident it can overcome any obstacles to a multi-billion dollar project to build a nuclear plant in the Czech Republic, despite appeals against the deal launched by EDF and Westinghouse,

“The good news from July was that Team Korea was selected as the preferred bidder for the Czech Republic's new nuclear power plant project. Now is the time to take a step forward for deeper collaboration by initiating a 'Team Czech-Korea' to jointly achieve a nuclear renaissance,” Yoon said.

During his four-day visit, Yoon will hold talks with Czech President Petr Pavel and Prime Minister Petr Fiala to expand cooperation in nuclear energy, trade, investment, technology and other areas.
