Seats are usually the first to go for weight reduction. It all depends if the car will be used daily and such, some people went to even removing sound deadening material.

2002 smg car 18" factory wheels all factory components with sunroof and no nav. I think pretty much most options. Even has the floor and trunk mats in it. Seems to be a lil higher than factory curb weight rating of 3415, maybe the smg. More likely it's the 3/4 full gas tank. Factory listed weights are dry weights.

Apr 15, 2005 · 13 posts · Joined 2011. #18 · Sep 17, 2011. I have a '04 M3 and am running AMSOIL 15-50 racing oil. BMW requires the TWS (Germany) NOT USA synthetic oil. The main reason for requiring the Castrol Oil (Germany) is because of oil shear. The AMSOIL 15-50 is a heavy 50 weight, closer to 60. The shear ratings are better that the TWS 10-60 oil.
