Jan 20, 2021 · Hey all, has anyone tried building a pc inside the the big drawer of the ikea alex drawer unit? I want to shove an atx mobo, 240mm rad and the PSU inside the drawer but based on the size of the drawer a kind redditor gave me, I am not sure if it will fit.

Jun 7, 2020 · Instead, we replaced one of three doors with the mirrored door, which looks fine, but we discovered the hinge locations weren't the same as the basic door and therefore not 100% compatible with the components we had previously installed inside (the bottom hinge on the mirror door competed with the mounting holes occupied by the shoe rack).

With the shelves in between which were set on top (not inside the shelf like the kallax), of four inserts that went into holes, & the weight of my stuff, I noticed warping of the whole shelf. To see that this is inside of a Kallax with it being so freaking sturdy & solid is awesome. Tells you they’re definitely doing something right.

Dec 10, 2020 · Unless you try to use a monitor arm with a desk mount... Then it just caves in. Which is why I use their kitchen tops instead. Both solid and stable with a couple of their filing cabinets either side. Not original, plastered all over the internet already, but if anyone wants a reasonably priced actually good desk from IKEA, it's the way to go.

Because it's impossible to compromise the cardboard from the side without breaking into the wood, then this adds structural integrity from compression at a low cost and weight.

Dec 23, 2023 · The inside of the closet is 131.5 in long, 27.5 in deep, and 96 in high. It has 3 sliding doors, each 40.5 in by 80 in. I’m planning to get at least 2 pax frames (1 and 2) a 39in and the other 29in.

So I am working on a home server system that will be installed barebones inside an IKEA Besta and behind their Mörtviken metal perforated door. I will be using Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 for the CPU and need to figure out how to handle intake/exhaust and the airflow direction.
