This is one of three of Dan Fogelberg's personal Martin D41 guitars that he used extensively for over 30 years on the road and for recording and has a lot of historical and collectible value. It still has his original Sunrise pickup installed exactly as he left it.

Dec 27, 2013 · 1973 Martin D-41. There is a D-41 for sale on the ebay, and the buyer is located near me. He is very responsive to email, and I would be able to check out this guitar before bidding. I have been looking and thinking about a Martin Dread, either one of the HD-28s, and the D-41 strike my fancy for some reason.

May 11, 2020 · D28 is more direct with less overtones due to its straight bracing. D41 has scalloped bracing (like an HD-28) and in general more of a low-end bloom, plus abalone (which has some impact on tone as well)... more of a "classic" Martin tone. D35 has straight, but lighter bracing, and a three-piece back, giving a more scooped sound with a big low-end.

What do you guys think. what would you choose. i have the trans in an hd28 custom shop and really like it, so i'm leaning that way.i'm kind of curious about the utratonic.

Not only that, but in this particular dreadnought model it has built a guitar that deserves to take its place with legendary vintage examples of the breed.
