Is it a solution looking for a problem? Read the instructions closely, just one ounce of old coolant or water left behind in a pocket in the block reduces its efectivness by leaps and bounds.

It raises the boiling point and therefore keeps coolant against localized cylinder block hot spots inside the system. It should also prevent corrosion and sludging.
