May 8, 2020 · A recent AMD Radeon Software driver release broke the fan control with MSi Afterburner for this specific GPU SKU. After doing some research and test on my own i've finally found the culprit for fan control issue with MSi Afterburner on AMD GPU. The issue lie within AMD Radeon Software v20.2.1 released on February 3th, 2020.

May 24, 2022 · Same. Fan control does not work as of 22.5.2 drivers. RX 590, 580, 570, and RX 6600 XT all affected, can't control fan anymore with MSI afterburner. I rolled back to 22.5.1, still can't control fan with MSI afterburner. I had to DDU all AMD drivers off the system, install 22.5.1, and I could get fan control back.
