Former B.C. premier John Horgan dies aged 65
1 day ago · Ambassador to Germany and former British Columbia premier John Horgan has died at the age of 65, after his third bout with cancer. Horgan served as B.C.’s New Democrat premier for five years before stepping down in 2022, then was appointed ambassador last year.

UPDATE: Kootenay ferries reduce service as union starts job action
Oct 12, 2024 · Several Kootenay ferries are moving to a reduced schedule as a job action begins in the middle of an ongoing labour battle. The ferries at Upper Arrow Lake, which run between Galena Bay and Shelter Bay, began a 50 per cent reduced service as of 3 p.m. on Friday, which means every second round-trip will be cancelled.
