This is what a plant actually looks like when it’s ready for a bigger pot. Roots circling the pot, almost no loose soil left, and the root ball holding its shape — that’s what “rootbound” really means. Seeing a root come out of the bottom isn’t enough. You’re looking for a full root mass. When you get to this stage, go up about 1–2 inches in pot size and loosen the roots slightly so they don’t keep circling. PAWS Chicago welcomed 25 beagles that were rescued from a breeding and biomedical research facility in Wisconsin. PAWS said the dogs were surrendered by Ridglan Farms, a dog breeding and biomedical research facility in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. Ridglan Famrs agreed to surrender its state breeding license effective July 1 to avoid criminal prosecution for civil animal cruelty violations, according to the State of Wisconsin Circuit Court.
